Carmen E.
Squiers
Carmen was born in Havana, Cuba, and came to the United
States at the age of 8. She grew up in the Boston area, attending Brighton
High School. She completed a BS in accounting at Bentley
College in 1974. After graduation, Carmen married and moved to
Connecticut, where she worked as the fiscal officer through the CETA program for
the city of Waterbury for two years. She subsequently worked five years as
a Medicare auditor. In 1982 Carmen opened and maintained her own
accounting practice in Connecticut for six years.
In 1988, Carmen and her family moved to Maine, where she
worked with a local accounting firm until setting up her own practice again, in
1995. Carmen became a registered representative with ADVest in 2002,
prior to becoming associated with Maine Accountants Alliance in June of 2007.
Carmen holds an NASD Series 6 license.
Carmen lives in Readfield with her husband, Ron, and has
three grown children.
Carmen's assistant is Kimberly Vdoviak, who has been with
Carmen since 2001. Kim serves not only as Carmen's office manager, but has
also acquired her Series 6 license in order to assist the securities business.
